Our Rooms

The Sugarloaf Room (Queen Bed)

Inspired by the tranquility of the mountain and lakes regions of Western Maine, the décor of the Sugarloaf Room hints of a rustic lodge or lakeside cottage. Light wood furnishings give the room a warm feeling and fine cotton blankets woven in Hallowell soften the look. Finishing touches include antique snowshoes, ice skates and skis that grace the walls of the room. The centerpiece of the private bath is an antique copper tub crafted in the Victorian era.

The Boothbay Room (King Bed)

Whitewashed furnishings and country antiques give a shabby-chic look to this bright and airy room. A painting above the fireplace depicts a sailing ship from long ago and a few seaside touches complete the look of this rocky Maine coast-inspired room. Open the windows and enjoy the trickling sound of the water feature in the courtyard below.

The Kennebec Room (King Bed)

The Kennebec Room, with its rose-colored walls, select antiques and four-poster bed by the fireplace, is reminiscent of nineteenth-century Maine. Paintings of the Governor's Mansion (Blaine House) and Old Fort Western are proud tokens of Kennebec County's lengthy history. A claw-foot tub with shower enclosure adds charm to the private en-suite bath.

The Acadia Suite (King Bed or two Twin Beds)

Blue and white toile window treatments set the look for our largest room. Matelasse coverlets and cotton weave blankets add softness to the two twin antique brass beds, which can be converted to a king bed. French doors lead to a separate parlor featuring a fireplace and furnished with antiques collected from some of the finest Maine estates. The bath has been updated with a curved-glass shower enclosure tucked into handsomely tiled walls.
