31st Whatever Family Festival
Dates: June 21st through July 4th, 2008
Free Family Fun!! That's the theme
of the Great Kennebec River Whatever Family Festival and Day in Capitol Park, now celebrating its 31st consecutive year. Events run from June 21st through
July 4th. On Saturday, June 28th, Family Day in Capitol Park will feature some
80 events and activities - musical presentations, dancing, balloons, hands on
activities and much more. "Whatever" celebrates the clean up of the Kennebec
River, and the vibrant economy and people of our Capital area communities.
Thanks to the many businesses and organizations that support this unique series
of festivities. Nearly all activities are free of charge including the B98.5
Colgate Country Showdown (fmi 623-4735). From Gardiner's celebration June 21st
to Fireworks at Waterfront Park, Augusta on July 4th, it will be fun for people
of all ages.
